Join us for this one-off late event celebrating the work of Katie Paterson & JMW Turner at Turner Contemporary.

Future Foundry Presents: Biomimicry - A performance by The Waste-Free Fashion Collective

From Erin Laurel Hayhow, Robert George Sanders, Gloria Jane Royer, Dream Safari and featuring a special musical performance by Sarasara.

Responding to Katie Paterson’s exhibition, ‘A Place that Exists Only in Moonlight’, the Waste-Free Fashion Collective presents ‘Biomimicry’ a conceptual catwalk and performance inspired by Paterson’s approach to making work, combined with the groups passion for waste-free design and circular economy principles and processes, ‘We mirror the cycles of the universe through circular design’.

Performances at 6:30pm & 7:30pm, North Gallery

Happenings in unusual spaces around the gallery from 7.50pm til 8.30pm

Sound Installation: 5pm to 9pm - Artist Sarasara will perform inside Cornelia Parker's 'Perpetual Canon', Sunley Gallery.

Genetic Moo - Installation in the Sunley Gallery - 5pm - 8:30pm

Our Clore Learning Studio will be luminated with large scale cosmic interactive projections including algorithmic Planets, Nebulae, Northern Lights and alien Animats. You can have a go at coding meteor storms and starfields. There will also be an interactive touchscreen drawing and a lifeline version of our popular Multiple dance program. Everyone can become a space age Squidlet and the whole event will be looked over by the living fossil Nautilus.

Genetic Moo are a Margate based digital art group who build installations in pixels and light. Having worked all over the UK and around the world they are now focussing on large scale collaborative creative coding projects in the Thanet area and are currently resident digital artists at Dreamland.
