Christmas Market

Sat 15 - Sun 16 Dec 2018

10am - 5pm / Free

The Student Makers Market Presents a WASTE FREE WINTER MARKET

An extraordinary event created by young makers, artists and designers from across Kent who are working with rescued and salvaged materials. Alongside the market there will be a number of fashion shows and workshops through the day.

Find extraordinary bags made from screenprinted wetsuits, knitwear made from waste t-shirt yarn, hand printed jackets from vintage bedspreads, deconstructed ski jackets and artworks created from laser cut skateboards.

The market offers an exciting and relaxing alternative to the packaging-heavy, guilt ridden, depressing Christmas shopping experience!

Learn to embroider your own activist Christmas wish onto up-cycled fabric with Frieda Ford. You can keep it for yourself or tie it up near a body of water where it was believed that the water absorbs the wish and makes it come true.
