"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

proclaimation made by the governing pigs: Animal Farm, George Orwell

This summer, Turner Contemporary will be bringing a major thematic exhibition of historical and contemporary artworks exploring our relationship to the animal world, and in particular how we see animals and how they have been represented through art.

Join us for an afternoon of anthropomorphic capers with our resident philosopher Ayisha de Lanerolle.  Choose a mask and imagine yourself into the mind and body of…. a dairy cow, a lamb, a pig, Wayne the quadrupedal cohabitant, a battery hen, a clever corvid or animal behaviour expert Temple Grandin.

In the interests of creating non-human animal agency, we will aim to keep the human animals in a minority.
