Resort Studios and other venues across Cliftonville and Margate

A celebration of T.S. Eliot’s best-selling work Old Possums Book of Practical Cats, which aims to demonstrate the ways that Eliot enjoyed the psychology, personality and metaphysics of cats. This weekend festival features artwork and events influenced by and in celebration of both Eliot and his beloved feline companions.

This project is organised by Jemma Channing, supported by Resort Studios. Jemma Channing is a therapist and textile artist from Margate who appreciates both poetry and cats. Resort studios is a collective of creative professionals based in Margate, Kent.

This is an independent event organised by members of the public in response to Turner Contemporary's invitation to create an event or activity inspired by The Waste Land, T.S. Eliot's legacy, and Turner Contemporary's exhibition Journeys with 'The Waste Land'.
