Seaside architecture, Mick Jagger, the Victorian Circus, seaplanes, Karl Marx, a crashed zeppelin, Eric Morecambe, and the first day of the Somme. Artist and writer Dan Thompson takes you From Wasteland to Wasteland, on a tour which ends with tea, cakes made to a First World War recipe, and an exhibition at Lombard Street Gallery. Each walk’s itinerary is different.
This is an independent event organised by members of the public in response to Turner Contemporary's invitation to create an event or activity inspired by The Waste Land, T.S. Eliot's legacy, and Turner Contemporary's exhibition Journeys with 'The Waste Land'.
