Opening Event Saturday 3rd February 2-4 pm - Meet the artists who have created a piece of work especially for this exhibition
An exhibition of artworks inspired by T.S. Eliot’s poem The Waste Land and his association with Margate. Local artists Chris Snow, Nick Kelly, Anthony Giles, Ruth McDonald and Claire Gill have produced work inspired by the poem.
Located in Margate Old Town in the South East of England, Lombard Street Gallery represents a diverse and eclectic range of artists and makers. We work with professional local, national and international artists to bring you the best in handmade and handcrafted products. Alongside our gift shop is a well-lit and spacious gallery, which holds contemporary art exhibitions all year round.
This is an independent event organised by members of the public in response to Turner Contemporary's invitation to create an event or activity inspired by The Waste Land, T.S. Eliot's legacy, and Turner Contemporary's exhibition Journeys with 'The Waste Land'.
