10am - 6pm
Join us for a day of Christmas creativity this December. Be part of our light switch on at 6pm, enjoy music with our resident choir ‘Big Sing’ and purchase wonderful homemade and local gifts from our Designers and Makers Market and shop throughout the day.
We will be running a special Christmas Workshop on Saturday and Sunday inspired by our exhibition where you can make decorations.
Use wire and mod-roc to shape and create your own Arp-inspired Christmas decoration with artist Lydia Brockless. Hans Jean Arp made playful abstract versions of everyday shapes such as forks, stars, birds and bottles which slide effortlessly between 2 and 3 dimensions. Draw with wire to make your own shape, then cover it with mod-roc to bring it into the sculptural realm. Make it festive with paint in bright colours and metallics.
Saturday and Sunday, 1-4pm Clore Learning Studio
Up to 4 children with one adult for only £5/ Free for CT9 Card Holders
There is no need to book this workshop – Just turn up and get stuck in!
Christmas lights will be switched on at 6pm on Saturday
Our café will be serving mince pies, hot chocolate and mulled wine, and Santa Claus will make a surprise appearance on the evening to switch on the lights at 6pm. Everyone is welcome.
Join us throughout the day on Saturday 2nd (10am - 6pm) and Sunday 3rd (10am - 5pm) for our Designers and Makers Market, where 25 designers and makers will be showing their work.
