Closing Celebration

Sun 24 Sep 2017

Join us for an exciting day of pop up projects at the gallery for the last day of our summer exhibition, Every Day is a New Day!

See the gigantic sculptures of Phyllida Barlow and the powerful narrative canvases of Michael Armitage one last time, whilst also enjoying new installations in the gallery from Open School East. You can also see our new exhibition by local graduate artists, Platform Graduate Award 2017, as well as Jyll Bradley's Dutch/Light (for Agneta Block) and Antony Gormley's ANOTHER TIME outside.

Open School East associates have been invited to show their work on the ground floor of the building. They will be taking Spelunking – a collaborative video-making project and journey into the subterranean led by Artist Benedict Drew – offsite, for a special chapter themed around Underground Ceremonies. The afternoon will include sound pieces, films and an installation, and will culminate in a live performance.
