Create your own sculpture using everyday materials inspired by the work of Phyllida Barlow. Drop-in for artist-led sessions with Clarissa Beveridge to touch, bend, balance and play with materials.

MATERIAL MASH-UP invites visitors to experience an immersive workshop and to compose and play with materials. Children and parents are encouraged to explore the process of assemblage, collage and drawing in Phyllida Barlow’s work. How do artists handle materials in their studio and how is this different to the way we experience the same materials in a gallery?

A workshop full of playful exploration making works of art out of everyday materials. Be inspired by the work of Phyllida Barlow to explore and create your own MASHED-UP sculptures. Mix and match materials that often go overlooked in our daily lives to make a sculpture of your own to take home.
