As part of our Summer of Colour, we trained 21 people from local Thanet tourism businesses to become Kent Event Greeters. The group were trained by Visit Kent as part of the World Host programme, and are now qualified ambassadors of their town and this cultural festival.
The course is the accredited World Host Ambassador Training, which delivers a range of customer care skills with a particular focus on product knowledge around the Summer of Colour and other cultural activities and venues in Kent.
The training dates took place on 7 and 8 May 2014. The following people took part:
Francesca Sayer Doyle
The trainers were Ruth Wood and Cheryl Parker from Visit Kent.
All delegates passed the training and are now awarded with a certificate, presented by Mark Dance, Cabinet Member for Economic Development at Kent County Council.
