Tue 8 - Thu 24 May 2018

From Tuesday 8 May - Thursday 24 May the main galleries upstairs will be closed as our exhibition team undertake the installation of Animals & Us.

Our team are constructing and painting walls, and hanging artworks including works borrowed from the Victoria & Albert Museum, Canterbury Cathedral, Tate, Freud Museum London, Kettle's Yard in Cambridge, and private collections. There are over 90 works by over 40 artists to install, including a life-sized fabric giraffe.

Our café and shop will be open as usual, as will the Sunley gallery

You can also see work by contemporary Chinese artists, Yin Xiuzhen and Duan Jianyu, in our Sunley Gallery.

Every day you can see Antony Gormley's ANOTHER TIME out on the sea shore, and Jyll Bradley's Dutch/Light (for Agneta Block) on our terrace.

On the front of Droit House, looking over Margate Sands, you can see Tracey Emin's neon I Never Stopped Loving You, particularly poignant as the sun begins to set.
