Through our Easy Holiday workshops artist Jennifer Price worked with children and adults to make large scale ink prints, inspired by Jeremy Deller’s English Magic. Using mechanical and electronic items, Jennifer Price introduced children and adults to new ways of creating images.

Price’s artwork uses basic and traditional printmaking methods in unexpected ways.  Her work crosses boundaries of printmaking, drawing, sculpture, site-based installation and public intervention.

The artist is drawn towards Rorschach inkblots: seemingly abstract images which are used by some psychologists in an attempt to examine the personality characteristics and emotional functioning of their patients. She is intrigued by the apparent meaning the inkblots have for individuals.
Functional, everyday objects are used in her work to convey a dual sense of wonder and familiarity by very simple means. The work invites the viewer to look beyond the obvious, finding personal connections and meaning.

You can take part in our family workshops every week on Sunday, and during the school holidays on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Find events >
