Looking for activities to entertain the whole family this half term? Check out some of the things we have going on in the gallery, from creative workshops to treating yourself to a cake!

1) Explore inside the gallery
Be inspired by giant colourful paintings, poetry and sculpture, as you explore Journeys with ‘The Waste Land’. Entry to our exhibitions is free.

2) Explore outside the gallery
Jyll Bradley’s Dutch/Light (for Agneta Block) is on our terrace until 25th February. Walk under it and be bathed in colour. As the tide rises, watch Antony Gormley’s Another Time from the promenade as it becomes submerged under the sea.

3) Discover the stories behind the artworks on a free Highlights Tour
Join one of our Gallery Assistants who will introduce you to some of their favourite artworks featured in Journeys with ‘The Waste Land’. Free Tours are daily and start at 11.30pm at the main desk.

4) Create your own artwork
Join video and film Artist Benjamin Hunt for an Easy Holidays family workshop to create an interactive installation that explores fragmentation and repetition through printmaking and video art. Your images can be lino cut, illustrated, or collaged, depending on how you feel! Find out more here.

5) Enjoy a treat at the cafe
Have a seat in our cafe and try one of our freshly baked scones, sip your drink and enjoy the spectacular view over Margate Sands. There are even cakes to add a special treat to your day.
