Turner Contemporary

Looking for activities to entertain the whole family this half term? Check out some of the things we have going on in the gallery, from creative workshops to treating yourself to a cake!

1) Explore inside the gallery
Be inspired by the playful artwork of Jean Arp – including bronze sculptures and colourful woodcuts! Entry to our exhibitions is free.

2) Explore outside the gallery
Jyll Bradley’s Dutch/Light (for Agneta Block) is on our terrace until 5th November. Walk under it and be bathed in colour. As the tide rises, watch Antony Gormley’s Another Time from the promenade as it becomes submerged under the sea.

3) Discover the stories behind the artworks on a free Highlights Tour
Join one of our Gallery Assistants who will introduce you to some of their favourite artworks featured in Every Day is a New Day. Free Tours are daily and start at 11.30pm at the main desk.

4) Create your own artwork
Make your own sculptures inspired by the work of Jean Arp in our Easy Holidays family-friendly craft workshops: Amphora masks and Dance Amphora.

5) Enjoy a treat at the cafe
Have a seat in our cafe and try one of the cakes or enjoy the view from our deckchairs and some Kentish ice cream on the terrace.
