Turner Contemporary

This half term, art students from Mid Kent College helped create and run a free drop in family workshop, as part of our annual art competition Portfolio. Based around this year’s theme circles, the students curated a number of interactive activities around the learning studio. families tried their hand at mindful zentangle drawings, dot drawing, paper cutting, relief printing, pizza mask making, wax resist paintings and chalk drawing on the harbour wall.

After having experimented with making circles in all shapes and sizes, workshop participants were able to enter their artwork into the Portfolio competition for the chance to have their piece displayed at Turner Contemporary.

This workshop was facilitated by Artist Nova Marshall. A big thank you to all the students from Mid Kent College for their involvement.
