  • Year of Mexico in the UK: Pedro Reyes: Disarm (Mechanized)

    See, watch and hear illegal firearms as musical instruments in Pedro Reyes’ ambitious installation. Reyes was offered the crushed revolvers, shot-guns and machine-guns by the Mexican government following their confiscation and public destruction. Disarm (Mechanized) will play at automated intervals.

    What happens when art and risk collide? This autumn, see artists leap into the void, abandon control and push art to the limit as creative risk-taking comes under the spotlight with over 70 pivotal works from the mid-20th century to the present.

Admission is free.

We are open Tuesday - Sunday and bank holidays 10am - 6pm in summer // 10am - 5pm in autumn/winter.

From 14 September until 9 October we are installing our autumn/winter exhibition, Risk. No exhibitions will be on show, but our cafe and ground floor spaces will be open.
