Join us for our monthly free Late Night Live event, when the gallery stays open until 10pm. We're celebrating the launch of Maria Nepomuceno's new commission for our Sunley Gallery
, Tempo para Respirar (Breathing Time).
To start the celebrations Maria is holding her Amor Ball performance - the first time its taken place outside of Brazil - where a giant inflatable pink ball will travel to Margate beach with visitors' help (watch a film at the bottom of this page). Maria will then be in conversation with Curator Lauren A Wright, talking about her work at 7pm (book your free tickets at the top of this page), plus there will be clay beading, ropemaking and music from DJ The Flying Carpet.
Be a part of the art!
Maria is looking for 100 volunteers to be a part of her incredible
Amor Ball performance. At
Late Night Live: Twist, you will help inflate the giant ball then playfully pass it from the gallery to the sea! To take part email Sepake at
sangiama@turnercontemporary.org.
