Turner Contemporary is one of the UK's leading visual arts organisations. Since opening our award-winning galleryin April 2011, we received our 1 millionth visitor in August 2013 (after just 2 years of opening). The gallery has generated over £21m of benefit to the local economy, and is widely perceived as the best example of arts led regeneration in Britain.

This event has now SOLD OUT
Help us celebrate this achievement, pay tribute to Britain’s best-loved painter JMW Turner and help us raise funds to continue our outstanding work.
Art critic and broadcaster Andrew Graham-Dixon will share his extensive knowledge of the visual arts with you in an exclusive lecture.
Andrew is one of the world’s leading art critics and is the presenter of numerous landmark series on art for the BBC, including the acclaimed A History of British Art, Renaissance and Art of Eternity and the Culture Show.
The evening starts at 6pm with drinks in our beautiful Sunley Gallery, amongst Edmund de Waal’s striking new commission for the gallery, Atmosphere. This will be followed by Andrew Graham-Dixon’s lecture at 6.45pm and a three course dinner overlooking, as Turner declared, ‘the loveliest skies in all Europe’ at 8pm.
The event will raise vital funds for Turner Contemporary’s future exhibitions, learning and community outreach programmes.
