New hands on session for Carl Andre, Material Movement
90 minutes, £3.50 per head
Inspired by our Carl Andre exhibition, this spring/summer term, students will look closely at the sculptures in the Carl Andre exhibition before working with our trained Navigators to create their own. The session focuses on the process of arranging materials to make sculptures of metal and wood, and exploring the ways the materials can be manipulated.

This session can be booked as part of our ‘Hornby Partnership Package’ including a visit to the Hornby Visitor Centre and Turner Contemporary in one day. The cost is just £7.50 per head, which includes a donation of a Scalextrix for your school to raffle off in order to support the trip.

New hands on session for Maria Nepomuceno, Weave, Bead and Rope
90 minutes, £3.50 per head
Inspired by our Maria Nepomuceno installation in the Sunley Gallery, this spring term, students will look closely at Tempo para Respirar by Maria Nepomuceno before working with our trained Navigators to create their own textile pieces inspired by her work. The session focuses on the process of weaving wool using cards and incorporating different elements including beads and pipe cleaners.

These sessions cost just £3.50 per head, with a minimum charge of £45.00 for groups up to 15. Groups larger than 15 will require two staff members and carry a minimum charge of £70. All materials, and an introduction to the exhibition are included.
