This summer, we have a wide programme of events and activities for adults to enjoy, all of which have been inspired by our current exhibition She Lay Down Deep Beneath the Sea: Tracey Emin at Turner Contemporary.
See our what's on calendar for a full listing of events.'Without your guidance we would have walked around the High Street exhibits, sniffed, and said, 'They call that art?' and never again visited a contemporary art exhibition. But the chance to have discussions has changed all that. The whole session has brought out my creative streak that has been hidden for over 60 years.' Val Gloor Blank Canvas participant
Blank Canvas brings younger and older people together, to help them to explore similarities and differences and to interact with and enjoy art together.
Through engaging and thought-provoking projects such as the national award-winning Time of Our Lives, trips to London galleries and twice monthly meetings, the group exchanges ideas, experiences and reflections with each other, as well as working towards creating a group art work.
The relaxed and open free sessions run twice a month on Tuesdays, starting on 13 Sept from 3 - 5:30pm and are directed by the needs of the group.
We'd love to see you!
We're always looking for new members to the group, if you would like to join us please email learn@turnercontemporary.org
